Barbara was a little, dark - haired woman. Later on in life, she suffered a stroke which left her senile. She stayed at her children's home and the children had difficulty keeping track of her. It's been told that she kept wanting to go HOME. Home was not the cabin that had burned, but Home in Germany. She never did like being in America, but being a good German wife, she stayed here with her husband. As death approached, she wanted to go back to her native country. Barbara never did speak English. She died at the home of her daughter, Lena Keepes. [Brøderbund WFT Vol. 27, Ed. 1, Tree #0792, Date of Import: Aug 26, 1999]
