Adam's First Month
I know, I know. I have a tough act to follow. Noah wrote every day & then every week... but I am a MUCH busier guy. I'm always on the move. So I have finally gotten the chance to steal a few minutes and get to the computer.
Let me tell you how the first month has been....
The first few weeks were filled with family. Nonna, Grandpa & GG were here when we got home from the hospital. It was Mommy's birthday, so we celebrated it with DQ cake. That's when reality hit-- they told me I had to wait a WHOLE year to get the good stuff - ice cream! To hear Daddy talk, it's worth waiting for.
Then Grammy & Grandpa brought my cousins Justin & Isabelle for a visit the next weekend. We went to a neighborhood picnic the first night they were here. Then the next day-- with me just a little over a week old-- we went for my very first trip to the zoo. Not many people can say they went to the zoo that early in their lifetimes! I have my claim to fame already. WOW! I guess life is downhill from here :)
The next weekend was a return visit from Justin & Isabelle, but this time they brought their parents along, Aunt Amy & Uncle Tom. They are going to be my Godparents. I'm so lucky. We went to Waterman's Farm with them. I went on a hayride and through a corn maze. Maybe there IS more fun to be had!
Things slowed down a bit as Mommy & Daddy decided to take a weekend off and putter around the house. Noah got to help Daddy with his yard barn, but I stayed inside. Maybe next year I'll be big enough to hang out with the boys!
We don't stay still for long around this house, though. To celebrate my 1 month old birthday, we headed to Columbus to see Nonna, Gpa & GG again. They were missing me & needed a fix. I also got to meet Brandon. He wanted his picture taken with me. Nonna held me a lot. Everyone had cake to celebrate my first month... but all I got was some of Mommy's milk. Happy monthday to me!
Some things about me:
I sleep really well... and I have almost from the first week! Now at one month I am sleeping at night from 8-2 pretty consistently. Sometimes I even make it until 3. Then I usually wake up at 5 to eat again.
When I'm awake, I'm a little fussy. I like to be held a lot... but then all of a sudden, I'll decide I don't... and I'll have to chill out a bit in my bassinet.
I've had diaper rash since birth, and Mommy & Daddy are trying hard to get rid of it!
I am a CUTIE!
