Adam's Second Month
Month two started out a little quieter. I spent the first two weekends at home with the fam. That was nice and relaxing.
Mommy's friends from playgroup are still bringing us meals every Tuesday & Friday. I hear they are yummy... but I never get to taste any. All I get is milk. Speaking of playgroups... Noah has set us up with quite a social schedule. We have a playgroup at Aunt Jody's every Tuesday with her neighbors, and then every Thursday we have another playgroup with Noah's friends from when he used to go to BFSG (Breastfeeding Support Group). I am a man on the move!
In the middle of the month we went down to Evansville. I got to see my Grammy & Grandpa receive a stewardship award from the bishop. I was very proud of them. The bishop even blessed me on his way out of church! Aunt Debbie says that I'm destined to be a priest. We shall see. I met my Great-Grandma & some of my other relatives. We took LOTS of pictures (as I am quickly finding out is the Schenk way!).
My brother Noah got his first haircut this month. Daddy says he really needed it, but Mommy liked the baby curls. Noah was a bit unsure about the whole process. He liked going down the slide & sitting in the racecar. He also got to watch Bob the Builder while he was getting his haircut. Unfortunately, the hairstylist looked a bit like our babysitter... so I think Noah thought Mommy was going to leave him at the first opportunity.
I am still sleeping well... from 8-2 every night... and sometimes I even stretch it until 4:00. Then I eat & go right back to sleep! I'm still spitting up all over the place. Mommy has to do MANY loads of extra laundry!
I LOVE to smile. I started this pretty early. I especially smile in my bath, when I see the flash of the camera, and when Daddy plays patty-cake with me (then I really laugh). I also have started to coo. Mommy & I like to talk to each other.
I like to play with my baby gym too. I can hit the objects and make them rattle. This is fun! I've finally figured out how to get those hands to do what I want... at least some of the time.
I don't like my car seat very much... unless the car is moving. Sometimes I put up quite a fuss. I like to exercise my lungs once in awhile and really keep my Mommy & Daddy on their toes. That brother of mine can do so many neat things, I have to keep their attention somehow.
Overall, its been a great two months so far!
