We decided to stay home for most of this month. We needed a little break from all the traveling of May! However, we DID take a day trip with Jody, Alex & Delaney to Fort Wayne one day. We went to the Children's Zoo there. It was lots of fun. Of course, I spent most of the time in the stroller, but all of the fences were lower so I actually got to see some of the animals. I really like to watch the people best though. They had lots of interesting things there for kids. Noah got to ride on a log ride which took a lazy journey through the Australia part of the zoo. I finally got to get out of my stroller at the end of the trip to pet the goats. I thought they were quite funny.
We went to the Children's Museum the very next day with our playgroup. We hadn't been in quite awhile. I had forgotten what it looked like. They are making lots of changes... with a new Dinosphere & parking garage. It looks exciting. I actually got to get down & play this time. I had lots of fun exploring all the toys & watching all the kids. Noah & I rode the carousel as well, but then I got tired and we had to leave.
We started the summer reading program at the library. I get to get points too! I was so excited. AND it means that Mommy gets to read me some of Noah's books too. I like looking at the pictures when Mommy reads to me. One time when we went to the library we got a free shake at our favorite restaurant (Steak & Shake). Just for reading books! What fun!
Aunts Carol & Kitty visited on their way back from Vegas. We took them to the Wednesday night concerts we've been attending. We go to Eagle Creek Park & sit on a blanket by the marina. Different groups sing & play fun instruments each week during the summer. When we went with Aunts Carol & Kitty a jug band was playing. They only played the jug for 5 minutes, but they had washboards & other fun instruments, too.
Grammy & Grandpa came to visit, too. They helped us move our new play set to our house. It is HUGE and HEAVY! Grandpa helped Daddy start getting it ready to go in the big hole that we already dug. Grammy got the better job of getting to play with Noah & me :) We had a very nice weekend.
Noah starts swimming lessons next week & that will finish out the month! (I get to play with Aunt Jody while Noah & Mommy, Alex & Delaney all have swimming lessons.)
