Out like a Lamb...
March 2004
Things have been pretty quiet around here since we got back from Seattle. We all needed a little down time. Plus I am keeping Mommy pretty tired... so we stick pretty close to home.
That's right! I am trying to make up for the great way I slept as a newborn. For awhile I was down to sleeping only 1-2 hours at a time! I felt a little sorry for Mommy watching her walk around the house like a zombie. Now she feels pretty blessed to get 3 hours in a row. She is trying to come up with all different creative ways to get me to sleep longer... but we shall see who is victorious! I don't nap well during the day either. Usually it is 30 minutes tops. Sometimes if Mommy is REALLY lucky... I MIGHT sleep an hour. I hate going to sleep as well. I like to cry on Mommy's shoulder and make it as difficult as possible. Isn't life grand?
So... I try to smile a lot during the day to get my cuteness quota in. I love it best when people look at me & talk to me. I have been practicing my rolling over a couple times here or there, and I am becoming quite a pro at this sitting up stuff. It is MUCH more interesting watching Noah play than just staring at the ceiling for hours at a time. I am also quite fond of rice cereal. It's about time I got something solid to eat. (It looks a lot like that white stuff that Daddy & Noah love so much... but I never get any chocolate sauce or sprinkles on mine!) I like being just like the big people around here. I've also started sweet potatoes... YUM!
Noah is talking more all the time. He has started putting 2-3 words together. Unfortunately for me, his favorite two word phrase is, "No, mine!" I am sure when I get bigger, he'll LOVE to share with me... especially when I start crawling and can reach all the good stuff. Luckily for Mommy & Daddy, he also likes to say "More, please" and "thank you" and give lots of kisses and hugs. He is also taking a music class this month through Indy Parks. We go every Monday for 6 weeks. Noah gets to dance, sign and also play instruments like maracas and tambourines. It is fun. He likes music so much Mommy & Daddy bought him his own guitar.
Bye for now,
Adam
