Running & Playing
Hi all!
It has been BEAUTIFUL outside & I am enjoying the great weather. There has been lots happening this month already!
I started out the month with a trip to Nonna's & Grandpa's house. We got to see Brandon and go to Steak & Shake. We had our traditional Sunday morning trip to Tim Horton's for donuts after church as well. I'm just waiting for the chance to TASTE all this food about which Noah raves! We played outside and saw Nonna's Koi fish (like huge goldfish). I liked sitting and playing with Nonna, Grandpa & providing lots of entertainment for GG.
During the week we went to Chuck E. Cheese with our BFSG playgroup. I got to sit on some of the rides. I also liked watching the BIG mouse sing songs.
The next weekend was the Mini-Marathon. I went downtown and saw Grandpa finish the race. He did a great job! He got a medal for finishing. I liked to put it in my mouth. (Then again, what don't I put in my mouth that I can get my hands on!) It was fun to chew. Everyone thought that was pretty cute. Grandpa & some of his friends raised money for Uncle JJ. They called it "Running with a RAGE for Jayge". A brain tumor costs a LOT of money to try & fix! I'm going to start saving my allowance so I can chip in! Luckily, after the race, we got to go to Steak & Shake again. YUM! (or at least, Noah tells me it's good) Noah is practicing for next year's race already! He is running all over the place. Each day it seems like he is getting faster.
That weekend after the race, the REAL work started. Mommy & Daddy came home & started to dig a HUGE hole. It is going to be for a play set. It's BIG. It has two towers & a monkey bars and will eventually have swings, too. They are going to put mulch in the hole. That way, being the crazy boys that Noah & I am sure to be, if we fall, it won't hurt as much. Daddy always makes sure to take such good care of us! They are still working on it. Jody & Fred help too... because all the dirt we take out of our backyard (actually the woods) is going into their yard.
Tuesday, May 11 we had a fun neighborhood playgroup at Jody's house. It was a nursery rhyme party. We dressed up as nursery rhyme characters. I was "my son John". I only wore one shoe. Noah was Jack (as in Jack & Jill). He wore a band-aid on his head & brought a pail. We played some games & had fun. I liked watching all the kids. Noah got to decorate a cookie & eat it. (Aunt Jody is FAMOUS for her cookies!) One of these days I'll get to have lots of fun as a big kid, too.
Noah knows ALL of his letters now and can even tell you what words some of them begin. His favorites are I is for ice cream (since he has a bowl with Daddy almost every night!), C is for cookie (he can even sing some of the song), and M is for Mommy. OK... the last one is just Mommy's favorite! Sometimes he can tell you what letter comes after another too. He is quite smart. Grandpa quizzed him at Steak & Shake the other week. He knows his numbers 1-10... but when he counts he still says 2-2-2 or sometimes 2-3-5 or even 8-9-8.
This weekend we are going to Nonna & Grandpa's again because Mommy has a baby shower to attend. Then next week its on to Cincinnati for a vacation with the Winters (Jody, Fred, Alex & Delaney). I'll let you know how it goes!
Bye for now,
Adam
