Turning one is no little milestone in one's life.... so I decided to celebrate it ALL month long!
We started out the month going to Columbus to celebrate my birthday with Nonna, Grandpa & GG. It was yummy! I got to taste my very first bite of ice cream (I just KNEW they were holding out on me!!!!), and then for some reason, Nonna got me ANOTHER cake the next day. WOW! Nonna got me some trains & train track for my birthday. Now, when Noah & I combine our sets, we can make some really fun tracks!
My first official word is hi... but I only say it when I want to! Just like I only wave hi or bye when I want to (usually when the other person has already left!) I took my first official step on Sept 15th. I am getting BIGGER & BIGGER every day!
Speaking of getting BIGGER & BIGGER... guess what?!?!! Noah wears big boy underpants now!! He started on Sept. 12 after about a week of wearing pull-ups without too many accidents. He is doing a GREAT job and loves to get "black candy" (tootsie rolls) or PEZ when he is successful.... which is MOST of the time. He also taught himself how to do a somersault this month and loves to tell us "Watch this!" as he tumbles around the room. His favorite thing to do right now is play "Roll Time" (rolling the ball back & forth on the floor with ANYONE who will play with him... even me!)
We started watching another little girl during the week for a couple of mornings. Her name is Skylar & she's about 20 months old. I guess Mommy is compensating for having two boys! :)
We went down to Evansville for my birthday weekend. I had a GREAT time!!! Grammy, Aunt Amy & Aunt Carol were all nice enough to provide food and a place to have my birthday party. I got lots of nice presents... but the highlight of the party was my cake. I LOVED IT!!!!!! (You can see proof in the pictures!) We celebrated Mommy's birthday on Sunday, too. Noah got LOTS of practice singing the birthday song.
Bye for now,
Adam
