December 2005 Article
Hello all!
Tori here once again. Let me tell you what we have been up to in December.
Noah finally turned 4! He is quite excited about that fact.
Aunt Katie came to spend most of the month with us. She was a GREAT help! When I was eating, she would play with the boys and keep them busy. This helped them not feel resentful of my presence, and therefore, they are quite enamored of me. Adam always wants me to sit on his lap & Noah likes to help get my boppy when I am eating. I get to stay up late with my Aunt Katie. Mommy will feed me & then SHE has to go to bed, but I get to stay up as long as I like. This is fun. I like to say that I am a California girl just like Katie!
We did a few Christmasy things like going to the Indiana State Museum for the Holiday train ride (see pics) & Holly Days at the Children's Museum. Unfortunately (or fortunately for Mommy) I slept through most of these.
I was 10 lbs 7 oz at my one month check up. I can't repeat some of the things that Mommy & Daddy had to say to that because they are NOT very flattering! Hey, I enjoy my milk. No crime in that! I was also 21 inches. See... I'm a growing girl.
We left for our holiday travels right after our Playgroup Christmas party on Thursday the 22nd. First we spent a few days in Evansville with Daddy's family. Noah got to spend the night at Justin's house & see his new room. The boys opened LOTS of presents... hey! they even opened some of mine (like they didn't have enough of their OWN!) We celebrated a big family Christmas Eve at Great-Grandma Schenk's house. Then on Christmas we had lunch at Grammy & Grandpa's and then headed to Nonna & Grandpa's in Columbus, Ohio. I was a traveling gal. I did pretty well in the car too! Once we got there, there was an enormous (well most things are enormous to me!) ride-on train set up in the family room! The boys rode it around & around all the time we were there. We had a nice dinner & headed to bed (again, I stayed up with Aunt Katie!). The next morning, we opened MORE presents. This Christmas thing lasts a really long time. There are presents every day. Pretty cool.
All good things have to come to an end (at least that's what they tell me)... so we headed home on Thursday the 29th. We spent a nice New Year's Eve at the Winters and stayed out past a whopping 8:30 (late by all the OTHER people in my family).
More to come,
Tori
