A snapshot of our kiddos from a parent's perspective:
Noah (Almost 4 years old)
Likes to help out a lot - especially if it involves tools & his daddy.
Can buckle his own seat belt (a new accomplishment).
Sings a prayer for almost every meal and sings "Our Father" and "Hail Mary" each night.
Is adventurous in the sense that he likes to ride all kinds of swings and carnival rides.
Still has some difficulty pronouncing some letters, especially the "C" sound at the beginning of a word.
Is almost always the last one done eating any meal.
Is fairly picky about the foods he eats (like his mommy) and his food cannot touch (like his daddy).
Weighs a little less than 40 lbs.
Has to have Daddy read the comics to him each morning.
Puts three envelopes of oatmeal on top of each other at his place for breakfast - the bottom one is eaten first - he has to pour in the oatmeal and water - he usually eats two of the envelopes. (maple and brown sugar)
Really likes to watch movies and videos. Some favorites: Mary Poppins, 101 Dalmations, Dumbo, Between the Lions, Dragon Tales, Zoom.
Likes to play computer games.
Wants to have a salami sandwich for lunch every day. (He has to get the salami out himself.)
Can pick out his own clothes and put them on by himself. (Except socks)
Is fully potty trained with no accidents... even at night!
Has to read four books every night & say three things to Daddy: don't eat oatmeal without me, leave the hallway light on & leave the door open.
Adam (23 months)
Is really starting to use words a lot... Noah is his favorite word & he likes to tell everyone he's "two".
Tries to do everything that his big brother does.
Likes to give hugs and kisses, but also occasionally bites and pinches.
Has a curiously big head - hard to get his shirts on & off even though they fit perfectly otherwise.
Just started sleeping in his toddler bed & is loving being a "big boy".
Dips all foods into any kind of dipping sauce. (E.g. peaches into barbecue sauce or chicken into salad dressing.)
Likes most every kind of food. (Will eat lemons, raw onions, etc.)
Eats one or two envelopes of oatmeal each morning and loves it when Daddy gives him some of his orange juice.
Sounds like Darth Vader breathing when he says "I'm sorry".
When he hears a train whistle, he rubs his hands together and says "Choo, choo". Then he says "All aboard!"
Weighs about 27 lbs.
Loves to push buttons - like the TV, computer, VCR, etc.
Wants to have a peanut butter and jelly for lunch every day. (He has to get the peanut butter out himself.)
Occasionally has night terrors where he abruptly wakes up screaming, sweating, and is inconsolable.
Both
They like to "knock daddy over" each morning before he heads to work.
They like to ride their bikes in the cul-de-sac.
They like chocolate sauce, caramel, and two kinds of sprinkles on their ice cream for dessert.
Like to torment the other brother at times - are a sweet as can be most of the time.
Love to sing and dance.
They are good about saying "please", "thank you", and "bless you".
They like to talk on the phone every time it is used.
Beating the odds, they are both very cute.
They only drink three glasses of milk a day... and after that they drink water.
