January 2006 Article
Hello all!
I have been working on my smiles this month. I started off the month being pretty stingy with them. I would only give one smile a day... and there was no telling when it would be. Now I smile all the time... especially when Daddy talks to me. (He has such a funny face! :) There are some nice pictures of some of my smiles on the January photo page.
I went to the doctor for my 2-month checkup. I weighed 12 1/2 lbs and was almost 23 inches long! That's the 90th percentile for both.
My Uncle Bryan came to visit around the middle of the month. He was interviewing for an internship at some places nearby. I sure hope he gets one close, because he's a pretty cool guy with whom to hang around. We had lots of fun on his visit... especially my brothers. He played LOTS of UNO with Noah & Adam. He would stay up late with me. Nonna, Grandpa & Aunt Katie came over from Columbus too.
I got baptized on the 29th. My Godparents Uncle JJ (Mommy's brother) & Aunt Sara flew in from Washington (the state) for the occasion. They brought me the cutest, softest stuffed dog! Nana (Mommy's Nana) flew in from the other coast.... from Boston. And the rest of the family came out of the woodwork! :) I did really well... and slept through almost the whole thing! I didn't cry when the priest poured water on me. We would have a nice video of the event... but my parents forgot to turn the video camera off in the bag & so the battery was dead! I opened my eyes for a couple pictures, and then I went right back to sleep again. Everyone kept telling me how nice I smelled since the oil they used on my head was very fragrant.
I still refuse to go to bed at 9:00 and prefer to stay up later... but when I finally DO go to sleep, I will sleep anywhere from 5 to 8 hours without waking. I am way more alert during the day & like to keep tabs on all the action. I also occasionally have some really nice conversations with Mommy or Daddy. I like to make noise, and I am quite expressive!
More to come,
Tori
