Her nickname was "Bunny" because she was born on Easter and she hopped around like one!
She attended Blessed Sacrament School in New Rochelle. For H.S. she went to Maria Regina in Heartsdale, NY and then Wellesley HS in MA. She went to Boston College. She did postgraduate work at Northeastern in Boston and William & Mary in Virginia for her masters. When she went back to teaching after raising her kids, she attended Butler University in Indianapolis.
She doesn't have any favorite foods, because she was always on a diet. Her kids told her one day that she could no longer be on a diet without exercising, so she took up jogging even though she doesn't really like it. They were really proud of her though when she kept at it!
She remembers always going to Playland on her parents anniversary, her horse Texas, and summers at the farm when she was younger.
She also remembers taking the kids to the farm at Thanksgiving and Easter and the trips there in Big Red along with going to Meggan & Bryan's swim meets.
While she was raising her kids, she was a "stay at home" mom. She played tennis during this time at the Carmel (IN) Racquet Club. She was able to put the kids in the nursery for 25 cents an hour.
She is proud of learning to play the guitar and getting a medal for running the Mini-Marathon in Indianapolis in 2000. She played the guitar every Sunday and sung in the church choir. When she lived in Indy, she would also play at her kids' school masses during the week.
She liked doing crossword puzzles at the kitchen table. It was a family event where everyone could fill in a little bit at a time. Mostly she and John worked at them. She enjoyed working on the computer and taking classes to learn more. She would always try and help other teachers at her school with their computers as well. She "loves the plants and hates the work" involved in gardening.
