He lived in the Bronx at 947 College Ave. He attended both Fordham University and Columbia, but he never finished college. He worked at A&P for 40 years (in Boston from 1962-1968 & in Philadelphia from 1968 until retirement in 1975). He got 4 weeks off for his honeymoon, and he and Bea went to Canada. Grandpa King made a cake for the drive.
He was easy-going at home and never swore; however, there were different stories from work.
